The Contributor

The women of the Banwell Quilters of Faith group gather together each week to learn the art of quilting and study the Bible. In the two years since the group started, they have raised thousands of dollars from the proceeds of their quilt sales to help support mission projects both local and global. Their goal is to raise $10,000 to help build a multi-purpose centre for the Lahu people to use as a gathering space for worship and other community services.

The Cause

Lahu villages are located high up in the mountains of MyanmarThe Lahu Village Project aims to build a church in each village that would function as a community centre and meeting place. Each building would serve as a church, school and medical clinic. The buildings would also be used to host training programs, communal activities and future community development projects.
