Cheryl Hughes is described by others as “a woman with a deep love for the Lord, a passion for mission and a thirst to understand Scripture.” As a life-long Canadian Baptist, Cheryl was raised with a love for global mission and has seen-first-hand the impact of CBM’s ministries in places such as Kenya and Cuba. Since her retirement as an elementary school teacher, she expresses her concern for people in need around the world through the creation of unique quilted items that are sold to support CBM’s work. When not making beautiful quilted bags, Cheryl loves to spend time with her grandson and volunteers in various capacities, including serving as Treasurer of Canadian Baptist Women.
100% of the proceeds from these items go to support impoverished people around the world through CBM projects in the field. These funds will allow CBM to strengthen the response of local churches in the organization’s core fields, and it also ensures that all CBM programs are adequately funded to support children and families in need.
