For more than 20 years, Muriel served faithfully in the health care field in Odisha, India. After working in impoverished areas, Muriel is convinced that microfinance can help alleviate extreme poverty.
Iftin means ‘light’ in Somali. The Iftin Women’s Empowerment Group consists of impoverished women who participate in self-help groups in Eastleigh, an area of Nairobi, Kenya.
As a life-long Canadian Baptist, Cheryl was raised with a love for global mission and has seen-first-hand the impact of CBM’s ministries in places such as Kenya and Cuba.
The women of the Banwell Quilters of Faith group gather together each week to learn the art of quilting and study the Bible. Their goal is to raise $10,000 to help build a multi-purpose centre for the Lahu people.
